Derek, thank you for sharing these conversations with your mom. I’m an active, deeply believing member of the church, but some family members & friends have left. It feels taboo to even talk to them about it, but I have been craving openness. I want to understand. I want to be a bridge builder, but I’m clumsy at it without perspective. I listened to one of your recent episodes & may listen to more. I wasn’t sure what to expect here, but I appreciate your understanding & sensitivity.
